Fox Valley Interview: Mayor Michael B. Kwasman of West Chicago

Mayor Michael Kwasman was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and while he’s been a citizen of West Chicago for over 23 years, he still retains the “moxie” of a kid who hawked clothing in the legendary Maxwell Street market so many years ago. “I grew up a peddler,” he says, “and I’m still selling - but this time West Chicago is the product.” Kwasman won a second term as Mayor this past April, having run unopposed in the election. Kwasman spoke with Fox Valley Magazine to assess his first term, and lay out his vision for the future of West Chicago. From the July/August issue of Fox Valley Magazine. Registered Members Only!
